“SysTimeRTCSet” disconnects from IDE

Description

When connected to the PLC via the IDE and the program utilizes the SysTimeRtcSet or SetDateAndTime command, the connection to the PLC will be lost.

The time does get set as program intends, but you have to reconnect to the PLC to view the time.

Normal standalone PLC running these instructions should function as desired.

Workaround

Reconnect to the PLC.
